Having Trouble Conceiving? Learn Three Issues That May Be Causing You To Be Temporarily Infertile

If you have been trying to have a baby for a few years with no success, you may be suffering from infertility. Infertility occurs for many different reasons, some of which can be treated quite easily. The following guide walks you three common reasons for infertility that you can change within a year to improve your chances of getting pregnant.

Weight

When you are overweight, you can sometimes become temporarily infertile because of ovulation issues that occur in your body when you do not maintain a healthy weight. Going on a diet and getting regular exercise will not only help you improve your ovulation cycle, but it will also help you to have more energy and feel better about yourself. Exercise has also been shown to help with cardiovascular health and improvement in the production of reproductive hormones needed for conception.

Stress

Stress affects your body in many different ways. It can make you feel tired, grumpy, and even cause you to be distant from your loved one. When you are stressed, the chances of conceiving will be greatly diminished because you will create more of certain hormones, mainly epinephrine and cortisol, which are not needed when you are trying to conceive. In order to lower your stress levels, you may want to consider acupuncture or massage. This allows you to release tension in your muscles, which will help to make you more comfortable and happy. Neither of these relaxation options are painful, and they can be done many times throughout a month.

Medications

Some medications contain ingredients that can have a negative interaction with your reproductive hormones. When this negative interaction occurs, it can stunt your body's ability to conceive. You should never stop taking a medication that is prescribed to you without getting your doctor's permission, though. It could create a very dangerous situation for you if you did.

If you are having difficulty becoming pregnant, you need to talk to your doctor to make sure you are healthy enough to go on a diet and if there are any medications that you can take as an alternative to any medications you are currently taking that may be causing your infertility. Once you maintain your stress levels and are able to get your body within a healthy weight range, you may be able to get pregnant. If you are still not able to get pregnant, there are other treatment options that the doctors can try to help you conceive the baby of your dreams.
